GugimFolio Cover with Notebook – Navy Mint

Hanaduri means one (hana) and two (duri). It is a design studio founded by twin sisters from Seoul. They create products based on traditional handicrafts, which they rediscover through their unique designs inspired by nature, culture, and everyday life.

GugimFolio is a smart system hardcovers and refils. Organiser made from crumpled paper called Gugim Hanji, produced by artisans in Jeonju, western South Korea. Gugim is a Korean traditional technique of crumpling and flattening paper by hand using two layers of wet Hanji. This gives the cover the unique texture and depth of the paper. Hanji is the name of a traditional Korean handmade paper that has been used there for more than a thousand years. The paper is produced from the bark of the mulberry tree and has natural fibres called 'Dak'. These make Hanji paper strong yet pleasing to the eye and smooth to the touch.

The set consists of two parts: a notebook refillable notebook and a cover made of crumpled paper. The interior is hand-stitched, so the notebook lays flat when open. The paper is fountain pen friendly. Each cover is hand painted and features a pocket for quick notes. The set is presented in a sugar cane paper case.
