We are Papierniczeni! We create unique notebooks, planners, and calendars. Our original collections stand out for their simple form, thoughtfully chosen materials, and careful craftsmanship. We want using our products to make everyday tasks easier and handwriting to feel like a pleasure!
The Klasyk series is our own creation (literally!), one we refine year after year and are proud of. The Klasyk collection now includes planners, calendars, and notebooks. KLASYK has been the best-selling calendar in our shop for nine years running. For 2027, we're offering as many as eight cover color options.
The Klasyk calendar is bound in sturdy solid-color board. Its spine is covered in fabric, allowing the calendar to open freely and lie flat. Inside you'll find a yearly overview, monthly and weekly spreads, dotted pages for notes, and a few words about the paper. The weekly layout is designed vertically – an ideal solution for anyone who likes writing out task lists for each day of the week. The paper has a natural, warm white shade and is pleasantly smooth. The red calendar is a pick for lovers of bold colors.
Klasyk calendars are designed and produced with the utmost care in our workshop in Kraków.

How Klasyk is made
IT'S ALL ABOUT COLOUR
Every year, we kick off our seasonal collection by spreading out stacks of swatches and debating which shades of paper and book cloth will look best together. It's a delightful but tricky task – we can spend weeks discussing the differences between two almost identical shades of beige!
CLEVER CONSTRUCTION
Klasyk covers are made from cardboard wrapped in beautiful, solid-coloured papers. It's our own take on a binding that's both lightweight and sturdy, while letting you feel the texture of exceptional papers beneath your fingertips. Most importantly, we join the covers with a strip of book cloth, keeping the spine flexible so the notebook can open completely flat.
BOUND BY HAND
Our workshop is a small-scale manufactory: we cut book cloth, prepare ribbons and gather all the components. Before the covers take shape under our hands, we inspect each one (very) closely. We sift through tall stacks of hundreds of cardboard pieces to spot and eliminate even the tiniest scratch! Once ready, we attach the covers to both sides of the paper block, add a ribbon bookmark and finish the spine with book cloth. The entire binding process is done by hand, with the final trimming left to our trusty, well-worn guillotine cutter, affectionately known as Monika.

A word about paper
For our Klasyk collection, we use wood-free, uncoated 100 gsm paper with FSC certification. Its exceptionally smooth surface lets your pen glide effortlessly, while the subtle warm white shade is easy on the eyes, even during long writing sessions. We use 100 gsm paper throughout the collection. It has a smooth finish and an eye-friendly warm white shade.
Klasyk calendars measure 15.2 × 20.5 cm, making them slightly smaller than standard A5.
Yes. The smooth surface allows the nib to glide effortlessly, while the 100 gsm weight helps minimise show-through. Results also depend on the pen and ink you use.
The planner is undated – you fill in the dates yourself and can start at any point in the year. The calendar comes with pre-printed dates for a specific year. Both feature clear monthly and weekly spreads, plus extra space for notes.

Klasyk calendars are designed and made locally in our Kraków workshop. Each calendar is bound by hand, from preparing and inspecting materials to assembling covers and adding the finishing touches. The inner pages are printed by trusted partners in Poland.
