Founded in 2009 in Tokyo, PICUS creates functional accessories made of brass, copper, wood, and leather. Its founder describes his designs as “antiques of the future” – objects that mature over time and become part of our everyday rituals. As the years pass, they subtly change in appearance, gaining depth and traces of use, so that each piece develops its own character and becomes a record of its owner’s daily life.

The Chibien ballpoint pen was designed to resemble a freshly sharpened pencil – simple and raw, yet perfected in every detail. Its name means “mini pencil” in Japanese, and each piece is entirely handmade by Yoshikazu Takai, founder of Tetzbo and a master ironsmith. Formerly known for his monumental metal sculptures, Takai brought his sculptural sensibility into the world of everyday objects, creating small works of functional art.

The brass body gradually develops a warm sheen and patina over time, while the hexagonal shape fits naturally and comfortably in the hand. The pen has no cap or retractable mechanism – it’s always ready to write. Each piece is slightly different, bearing subtle traces of handcrafting that make it truly one of a kind.

    We offer free international delivery on orders of a minimum value of 150 EUR.

    Personal pickup is also available at no extra charge at our store in Kraków, Limanowskiego 18, Monday to Friday: 12:00-18:00, Saturday: 12:00-16:00.
